Teknaf is an upazila of Cox’s Bazar district under Chittagong division. It is the southernmost point in Bangladesh and it shares the border with Myanmar. The upazila is situated on the bank of Naf river and the hilly areas of Cox’s Bazar. The scenic and enchanting beauty of Naf river, hills, forests and sea beach of Teknaf attract the tourists. Tourists can enjoy the river from the top of the hill which is the entrance of the town. Teknaf Sea Beach is one of the longest sandy beach ecosystems (80 km) in the world which is also very attractive for its blue and clear water. There is Mangrove forest also. Teknaf has also a reserved forest named “Teknaf Nature Park”.
HOW TO GO:
From Dhaka there are some direct Bus services available for Teknaf like Hanif Enterprise, Green Line Paribahan, Saintmartin Paribahan etc. Visitors can take bus from Cox’s Bazar also to reach Teknaf which will take 2 hours.
WHERE TO STAY:
There is a nice resort named ‘Central Resort Ltd.’ in Teknaf to stay in. Teknaf has some motels also.
