Description:

Banskhali Beach is one of the beaches located in Banskhali Upazila of Chittagong Division. Banshkhali Beach surrounded by sandy beach and Jhauban is said to be the 2nd largest beach in Bangladesh after Cox's Bazar.

Bashkhali Beach is one of the many unsung beaches of Bangladesh, crowded with Cox's Bazar, Patenga or Kuakata. Located 35 km from Chittagong city, the beach is spread over 3 km across Gandamara, Chunua, Shorol, Baharchora, Khankhanbad areas.

On the east side of the beach there are rows of zhow trees. Dense gardens can be seen along the coast. Tourists are fascinated by tidal waves. The tidal play surrounds a beautiful green beach surrounded by keora and jauban growing along the sea coast. Bashkhali beach is ideal place for silent lovers. Sunsets on the horizon, red crabs and the thrill of playing beach football give travelers an incomparable delight.

History:

The four and a half hundred year old Bakshi Hamid Mosque is also located a few kilometers away from this beach. It is also known as Baharchhara Beach to many.


Attractions:

Banshkhali, a marginal town, has Eco Park, Tarek Park, Tea Gardens, 35 km long beach, Bakhshi Hamid Mosque, Malka Banur Dighi and Mosque, Historical Katebi Jame Mosque, Jhaubagan, Lychee Gardens, Salt Field, Shutkir Chantal and many more.

The longest hanging bridge in Bangladesh is located in the Shilkoop Ecopark of this upazila. This park has been decorated very beautifully at a cost of about 5 crore taka. There are two beautiful lakes in this park. The boat trip on the Jharna Nahar in the left and right lakes is different. Another name for the beauty of Banskhali is Belgaum Tea Garden.

The only ticketless Tarek Park in the country is in this upazila. It was established by Tarek Rahman, the youngest son of the late master Nazir Ahmad, the founder of Dainik Purbadesh. It is also known as Napora Organic Eco Village and Tarek Park. This park is spread over about 15 places.
