Description:
The biggest coconut garden of Asia is located in Rajarkul union of Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar district in Bangladesh. This large coconut garden was first established in 1982 and now it presents about 1 million plants. The area is measuring about 196 acres which produces around 80000-90000 coconuts each year. Fruit and medicinal plants are also implanted in this garden at a large number besides various types of coconuts.
The government is earning huge amount of revenue income by supplying the coconuts and other plants in different districts of the country. The garden has become a famous tourist spot also. There is also a lake which is surrounded by some hills. The series of trees in lines on both sides of the road and a beautiful lake have made the place very interesting.
