Description:
The Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest with an area of about 10,000 km2 (3,900 sq mi), of which about 6,000 km2 (2,300 sq mi) are located in Bangladesh. The forest extends across Khulna, Satkhira and Bagerhat districts and located in the delta region of Padma, Meghna and Brahmaputra river basins. Sundarban is densely filled with flora and fauna. This region is famous for containing Royal Bengal tigers. Apart from this, it contains 260 birds species, deer, crocodiles, snakes, dolphins etc. Sundari, Gewa, Goran, Keora grow prominently throughout the area. Sundarbans has many places to go and many things to do. The region is filled with canals and creeks where tourists can have boat rides. There is a trail from Kochikhali to Kotka which goes through the Jamtola sea-beach, forests, watch-tower and open field. Tourists can gain experiences by seeing various animals, birds with mangrove trees.
