Cox's Bazar has so many attractions for tourists that it is considered as the most famous tourist spot in Bangladesh. Himchari is one of the attractions with a combination of mountains, waterfalls, bays and forests. Himchari hill is famous. People go up the mountain and then they enjoy the whole area with sea view.

Himchari is the name of the place where mountains, fountains, sea come together and form friendship with each other. On one side there is a green circle surrounded by huge mountains and trees. And just on the other side, the waves of the vast Bay of Bengal crash and announce its presence. Right in the middle of these two, the Apoorba Marine Drive road runs diagonally.

Located just 12 km from Cox's Bazar, Himchhari National Park has been created for the purposes of research, education, tourism and recreation and wildlife conservation. There are about 117 species of plants in Himachari, a forest of evergreen tropical trees. This area is considered to be an elephant habitat. In addition, owls, Maya deer, wild boars, monkeys, reptiles, amphibians and various types of birds are also seen in this forest.


Attractions:

Himchari has several small and large natural springs or springs. But the most popular among the tourists is Himchari waterfall here. Although the spring is almost dry in other seasons except monsoon. After climbing the two hundred steps of the garden to the top of the hill, the mind is filled with the wonderful scenery of the sea and the beach.


Himachari Falls: The Himachari Falls falling from the green hills is breathtakingly beautiful. Its height is about 108 feet and it is located 12 km south of Cox's Bazar city and 6 km from Kalatali beach. But the full falls can be enjoyed only during monsoons.


Himachari National Park: Himachari National Park was established in 1980 which covers a large area. The park is maintained, protected and protected by the government for tourists. The park consists of forest, grassland and vegetation. About 58 species of trees, 4 species of grasses, 15 species of shrubs, 19 vines and 21 species of herbs totaling 117 species are found here. Moreover, 286 species of birds, 55 species of mammals, 56 species of reptiles and 13 species of amphibians are found in the evergreen forest.
