Hazlat Khan Jahan Ali (RH) is located in the southern part of the shrine, in which around 200 bighas of land is located in khanjeli Dighi. Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (Rh) Kalapahad and Dholapahar, some crocodiles were released in this dighi. Two large-size crocodiles named ‘Kala Hills’ and ‘Dhala Hills’, which were later killed. In the meantime, some sweet water crocodiles are left without water. People coming to visit the shrine, John Dighi, gave these crocodiles animals like ducks, poultry, sheep, khasis and various types of vows. Due to the killing of Kala Hills, mats were kept in the mausoleum of Shatgumbad Mosque. Dighi’s main ghat is spacious and beautiful. There are separate villages for women. The water of the lake is sweet. This dighi is called the Tagore Dighi.

There are several legends about the name of khanjeli Dighi. Some people say that the name of “Thakur Dighi” is for the Buddha Thakur’s statue. According to another, Khanjaah was called the Thakur by the local Hindus, Bhaktivar, and the Dighi was excavated under the special supervision of him, that is called Thakur Dighi after the name of his goddess Thakur. Some others also said that Ali was the beloved friend of Ali Mohammad Taher Khan. He was previously a Brahmin and his name was Shri Govinda Lal Roy. Khan jahan adorned him as “tagore”. In order to preserve the memory of him, he kept the name of Dighi “Thakur Dighi”. His shrine is located in the adjoining west of the mazar of Khan Jahan (ra).
