Description:

Balihar Rajbari is almost 18km away from Naogaon city. Naogaon itself is just 1km away from the Rajshahi highway. Nrishingho Chakraborti was the founder of Balihar Jamidari. About 300 years ago, he got land from Emperor Aurangjeb and developed many establishments in that area, among which, Balihar Rajbari along with a Mandir were one of the greatest. It is also believed that they dug about 300-330 small/large water tanks around the Rajbari, which are now all gone by these days. Since the division of the country and disappearance of the Jamidari system, the King of Balihar, Bimalendu Ray left for India. Afterwards, the Rajbari family employees were in charge of the Rajbari Palace. During and after the Bangladesh Liberation War, many decorations, artifacts, doors, windows, etc. were stolen from the Rajbari. The Mandir in Rajbari is famous for being active. It is speculated that many worshipers from India and Nepal come to this Mandir on regular basis.
