Gorar Mosque is situated in Barabazar union which is a part of Jhenaidah district. It is estimated that the mosque is built in the 15th century. It has a rectangular structure with one large dome and three other smaller domes in a row at its top. There is a large lake on the east side of the mosque and the mosque is surrounded by some trees. The name of the mosque came from a ‘Peer Shaheb’ whose name was Gora Aulia and his grave had been placed next to the mosque. It has three doors on the east side for entrance and the middle one is larger compared to the other two. The wall is decorated by terracota designs. There are three mihrabs and four black stone pillars in the West wall. The main prayer hall is a single chamber.
