At that time Shaista Khan was the new subahdar of Dhaka. He gradually began to regard the fort as ominous. His daughter Eran Dukht, also known as Pari Bibi, died there when she died. So Mughal Subahdar Azam Shah left the structure of Lalbagh Fort incomplete without completing it.
