Nawab Begum Faizunnesa Choudhurani was Zamindar of Comilla district and she was the first female Nawab in South Asia. She is famous for her establishment work as she built so many schools, colleges, mosques, hospital, rest-house and also contributed towards the development of roads and ponds. She established a mosque at laksam under Comilla district which is known as 'Nawab Faizunnesa Jame Masjid'.
