Description:

Nuhash Palli is located in Piruj Ali village of Gazipur district, the garden house built by the late Bangladeshi fiction writer Humayun Ahmed. This Nandan Kanan is located at a distance of about 30 km from Gazipur district headquarters. The current size of this village is about 40 bighas. This family retreat and shooting spot is named after Humayun Ahmed's son Nuhash.

In 1987, the author started realizing his dream on 22 bigha land. This famous place has appeared in various ways in Humayun Ahmed's plays, movies and his literature. He spent a long time of his life here.

After entering Nuhash Palli, if you move forward along the field, there is a prayer house near the Shefali tree. Next to it is a small garden with a total of 3 litchi trees. Humayun Ahmed, the legendary modern writer of Bengali literature, is buried near that litchi tree. Being in the vicinity of Dhaka, you can easily visit with your loved ones and family on a 1-day tour. And if you are a Humayun Ahmed devotee, you will definitely want to see a real world view of his writings.

History:

Nuhash Palli, located 20 km from Chowrasta in Gazipur district, was established by Bangladeshi fiction writer Humayun Ahmed as a private initiative. There are about 300 species of medicinal, fruit, spice and forest plants. Each tree has an identification plaque, by which any visitor can easily know about that tree.

Attractions:

The sculpture called "Mother and Child" by local architect Asaduzzaman Khan is in sight as you walk along the entrance of Nuhash Palli. Sculptures in the form of ghosts and frogs have been created to entertain children. A curved swimming pool has been built next to it. Famous Indian writers Sunil Gangopadhyay and Humayun Ahmed swam together in this swimming pool. Besides, there are chess rooms, cottages and prayer places nearby.

There is a garden of date palms on one side of which is a modern house named after his book "Rain Luxury". Another attraction here is "Lilavati Dighi". There are various types of trees around the lake.

Every year on the first day of Boishakh Nuhash Palli organized and organized Boishakhi Fair. Here the writer built a dighi and three lovely bungalows. Although he had a residence in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, he used to stay in a bungalow. In the remaining 2 bungalows the writer developed his artistic thinking. Next to it there are sculptures of mermaids and demons.

How to be here

If you want to go from Gulisthan, take the Dhaka Paribahan bus that goes to Kapasia. If you want to come from Mohakhali, you can take Samrat Line, Rajdoot Paribahan, Down Town Bus. Besides, there are several buses from Dhaka to Banshri, Prabhati etc. If you want to go to Nuhash Palli, you have to come to Hotapara bus stand in Gazipur first. In this case, the rent is 60 to 80 taka depending on the place. If you want to go to Nuhash Palli from Hotapara bus stand, you can take rickshaw, tempo or CNG. Rickshaw fare is 60 to 80 taka, tempo takes 50 to 60 taka, CNG takes 120 to 150 taka. If you have your own private car, you can visit Nuhash Palli comfortably.

Where to stay

There is no overnight accommodation in Nuhash Palli. However, there is a rest facility for the visitors in "Rashti Vilas". And if you want to relax in Bhut Vilas bungalow, you have to pay 4000 to 6000 rupees for rent.

Famous Food

There is no adequate provision of food inside the Nuhash village. There are some small shops outside. There are some dry foods of fair quality including tea biscuits. It is better to bring food from outside Nuhash Palli. If you want a heavy lunch, you can come to Hotapara market.
